SEPTEMBER NEWS
Lindsey Racing will not be open Labor Day, Monday, September 4th. After almost a year we are finally finding a little time to do more work around the building. For those who haven't stopped in, you wouldn't notice the change. For those who have, you will notice the showroom's glass cabinets filling up with Lindsey Racing produced product samples. Pictures, logos and magazine articles are also coming together to soon be scattered on the walls. We are also talking with contractors to perform a face lift on the building that more suits the business we are in. Going Fast! Lindsey Racing would like to graciously thank the extremely hard working staff at "944 Fest 2006" for putting together such a wonderful event. Although we were not there in person to experience it, we have had many telephone calls and emails from participants telling us what a great time they and everybody shared. People are slowly but surely calling in and using their gift certificates we donated. We understand the dinner we contributed was quite delicious and we were hoping Dan would have boxed up a couple plates and overnighted them to us. Hopefully we can be there in person next year to enjoy. So once again, hats off to Dan Pierson and the hard working "944 Fest 2006" staff, and to all those who showed up and made it a successful event.
SEPTEMBER SPECIALSFor the Month of September, we will be offering the following specials. This special pricing is for our retail customers only. Other discounts and programs do not apply and cannot be combined. You must request the special pricing at time of ordering. The shopping cart does not recognize our specials and will NOT automatically give you the special pricing. You MUST either send us a follow up e-mail immediately after ordering through the shopping cart or International Order Form, or give us a telephone call and ask for your special pricing. If you order by phone, you MUST mention the special pricing at time of order. If you contact us after the order is shipped and request the special pricing, it will be too late to receive the special pricing. The Lindsey Racing Short Shift Lever is 20% off regular price. This billet aluminum lever is height adjustable to dial in your geometry. It works on both 944s and the 968. You can cut down the shaft to further drop your shift knob and shorten the throw even further.
The pair of European Fog Lenses which are normally $341.98 a pair are only $299.00 while supplies last. Unlike the stock lenses, these Euro lenses allow bulbs on both sides of the lens (4 total). They are so bright you can actually drive at night without your primary headlights up and on. But we wouldn't recommend that at higher speeds.
Our Ultra Mount motor mounts have been very popular since their release. Our Solid Transmission Mount works great in conjunction with the motor mounts as a team. So we decided to offer a special price this September when buying both together at 15% off regular price. A firmly mounted engine and a transmission that is not flopping around make for a very positive combination.
Both our Standard and Universal Crank Case Breather Tanks are 15% off regular price this month.
The popular Lindsey Racing Stage I & Stage II Intercoolers are going to be even more popular this month with $50 off on the Stage I and $75 off on the Stage II.
CUSTOMER CAR OF THE MONTHWould you like to be featured as car of the month? Please submit pictures and information to Dave Lindsey.
This month we are featuring the 1987 944 Turbo of Luther Lauderdale of Oklahoma City. There are two things that
compelled us to feature Luther's car. One is the fact that he purchased the car brand new 20 years ago. It's not that often that we deal with a one owner 951. Second is the fact that the car has recently been hitting car shows. You don't see many Porsche cars, or 951s in particular, in car shows that are targeted for the
Sports Compact or Domestic Muscle Car market. But he is not only attending, but taking home trophies. If you're
in the Dallas area in October for this year's Hot Import Nights, you will find Luther's car there competing with mostly Japanese brands.
Luther's beautiful 951 includes plenty of Lindsey Racing goodies such as a Level III Cylinder Head, Solid Cam Kit,
Super 75 Turbo, Thermal Coated 4" Exhaust, Stage V Intercooler, Mass Air Flow, Fuel Rail, Polished Hard Pipes and plenty more. It not only looks good enough to win shows, it's very fast. So for those of you who are wondering
if it's possible to win shows with a Porsche 944 Turbo, learn by example.
Luther's recent car show highlights include:
In a recent 20 psi dyno pull, we achieved 278 RWHP & 339 Ft. Lbs of torque on a 1989 944 Turbo S with
nothing more than a Lindsey Racing 3" exhaust, Lindsey Racing Boost Enhancer, a pair
of Wastegate Shims and 3.0 bar fuel pressure regulator.
At 15.5 psi, we achieved 275 RWHP & 304 Ft. Lbs.
On both pulls, the boost fell off to 12 psi by redline. We plan to install a
Lindsey Racing Dual Port Wastegate on the car and go back to the dyno and make identical pulls
without the boost drop to see how they work.
We are already putting together a kit to include the parts on the car that were dyno'd above so you can
achieve the same numbers.
Along with Russell, we will eventually develop chips for many of our combinations of parts and kits.
We are already working with a set on a 2.8L and 500 WHP 2.5L.
For those already running Lindsey Racing chips, and you want to update them, there will be a $99 trade-in price.
Your old chips will be required to be returned or traded in. We will have a core charge if you want to swap with no down time.
For those running another company's chips, and you want to upgrade, the price will be $149 with trade-in
and core charge available.
Pricing on outright chip sales will be $249.00.
Lindsey Racing has become the Oklahoma Wholesale Distributor for Vortech Superchargers. This enables us to supply kits and parts
for Retail as well as Jobbers in Oklahoma and Worldwide. Although they don't have a kit for the 944 Turbo which
is our primary focus, they have kits for trucks, SUVs and a long list of domestic and foreign cars. Let us know if you need anything for your tow vehicle or second car. You will soon see full information added to our web site.
Our THP 951 project has been delayed this past month due to the extreme heat and lack of available time with Brandi
taking the month off due to illness. We hope to post more information next month so please stay tuned.
Until next month, we wish you many safe and quick laps.
