DECEMBER NEWS
We are going to make this news letter short and sweet. You should be with your family and friends preparing for the Holidays and not stuck here reading a long winded news letter. If you haven't already noticed, we have our Christmas Specials web pages lit up. They will remain viewable until December 26th. Our "Stocking Stuffers" are once again categorized in a variety of price ranges. Our Gift Certificates are becoming a popular gift option all year round and work well for that "surprise" gift when you don't want to tip someone off. We are sure you will find something there that will make it on to your list for Santa Claus. You do believe in Santa, don't you? It should be obvious we believe in Santa since he recently dropped by for a visit. He wanted to know if we could add a little more zip to his Sleigh. Unfortunatly, we told him we make Horse-power, not Reindeer-power. He had to settle for some milk and cookies.
DECEMBER SPECIALSFor the Month of December, we will be offering the following specials. This special pricing is for our retail customers only. CUSTOMER CAR OF THE MONTHJay B's Beautiful Street & Track 951The car is a daily driver, for a track guy. Spherical bushings, -2.5 degrees of camber, track seats, harnesses & all. It still has A/C & a working stereo! That comes in handy in Dallas traffic and heat. When not in the operating room (he's a surgeon), Jay spends a fair amount of time on the track, hence the track tires in the cabin. The car is very fast as it is running 20lbs of boost through the Super 65. The car has a huge torque band and seems like it would pull for days. Corvettes, 911s, whatever; all get to watch that red rear bumper disappear quickly from view!!

BODY: Near future plans include further suspension upgrades, a Safety Devices roll cage, Solid Lifters with a big Lindsey cam & the new Maxtronic system. More about the Maxtronic next month. The project was completely built up from scratch with a LONG list of genuine OEM Porsche parts from bearings to gaskets to sensors and more. All work was performed by Park Place Porsche in Dallas. The work was overseen by Randall Johnson their 951 specialist owning several amazing examples himself. Give Randall a call and arrange to have them build you one!
SHOP TALKWe are now manufacturing our own MAF meters. We felt this was necessary to get the meters we want, when we want them. It's also another step in making us less dependent on distant suppliers. The meter housings will be machined billet aluminum similar to the ones we have been selling. We are looking for your input as to the finish we should put on the meters even if you already have a MAF or don't plan to get one. The most logical thing for us to do is anodize them. We can also have them polished. Maybe offer both ways. If anodized, what colors would you like to see them available in? I will open up some discussion about it on Turbo944.com so feel free to chime in with your opinions. With this new meter, which of course will be utilized in our 944 turbo kits, you will also see us add a MAF kit to our line up for the 944 NA. This MAF kit will "not" require a piggy back system. We felt this was not possible before due to inconsistent meter calibrations which required a piggy back to dial in the proper air/fuel ratios. Up until a few years ago, Porsche Motorsports had available what they referred to as a progressive rate front coil spring for the 944 Turbo S cars. Dave has been running a set on his White Turbo S. The previous owner purchased what he was told was the last set from Porsche Motorsports. This goes back about 7 years ago. Lindsey Racing is producing their version of this un-obtainable spring with near identical rates. They are in production as you read this and the first sets should be available within the next few weeks. These will only work on the factory Koni Turbo S MO30 struts. This is due to the length and diameters. We are reproducing the spring rates and length that Porsche Motorsports offered so they should offer the same performance and adjustment heights as theirs did. Once we get those rolling along, we plan to offer the same spring for the standard 944 Turbo strut. The diameters are different on both ends which is why the "S" piece will not work for "non-S" cars. Those should follow within a few weeks. We also currently have in the works blade style rear sway bars for the 944. We should see our first sample pieces in January. We have a new addition to our Exhaust accessories. We now carry the "Outlaw" muffler by Flowmaster. We are not using that as the actual muffler at the rear of the car, but up front where the cat or cat delete pipe goes as what you might call a pre-muffler. It's intended for those wanting to quiet down the 3" or 4" systems a little further without restriction. The additional sound reduction is minimal, but helpful. We offer it in two sizes to work with our 3" exhaust for the 944 and 951, and the 4" systems for the 951. Pricing is available on the web site under the exhaust and mufflers section.
