LINDSEY RACING 8v CAMSHAFTSLindsey Racing has developed several Hydraulic Lifter Camshafts grinds new for 2021. We have grinds we recommend for both the 944 Turbo and the 944 8v NA.These cams are precision CNC machined and ground from start to finish. They are produced from a solid round steel billet bar. These cams are rifle drilled. This takes the cam from it's normal weight of 10 pounds down to 8.6 pounds. This adds strengh and stiffness to the cam allowing for more aggressive profiles. Using a Cam Doctor tool, we measured both Porsche 944 NA cams, the Porsche 944 Turbo Cam, 4 different WebCam cams and another popular but no longer available competitors cam. We seen some interesting and surprising results and felt there was room for some improvement. We had lengthy discussions with our engine machinist who has been building high horsepower blown, turbocharged and naturally aspirated engines for years and has designed many camshafts for his customers which includes many of the "405's" (Yes, we are in Oklahoma City) famaliar names like Daddy Dave and Murder Nova and others. We ended up with 6 different hydraulic lifter cams. Our .480" lift versions would allow for the use of stock valve springs however you may still want to change to a stiffer spring depenging on what your goals are. You can discuss that with us. Our .500" lift versions will require changing out the springs regardless of your goals. We offer springs as well.
