Shop 951 5" "BIG FLOW" EXHAUST

5" 951 "BIG FLOW" LINDSEY EXHAUST



In the beginning there was the stock exhaust. Then came along our 3". Then it evolved into offering the 4". Then there is today. The 5" beast of all 944 Turbo Exhaust systems!

This exhaust is made from aluminized coated steel exhaust tubing and grows along it's length from 3", to 4", to a full 5" in diameter. Formed with mandrel bends making it free flowing throughout without pinch points and collapsed tubing like the factory system. All tubes are CNC mandrill bent.

All systems come complete with copper gasket and band clamps. Nothing else is needed for installation.

OPTIONAL 3" TURBO DOWN PIPE:


If you have been considering topping off your exhaust system purchase by adding our 3" Turbo Down Pipe, this is the perfect time. When you select the Turbo Down Pipe option now, we substitute the normal 3 bolt stock bolt circle triangular flange connection on what we refer to as the "wastegate pipe" for the larger diameter 3" Bolt Flanged pipe that mates to our 3" Turbo Down Pipe.


OPTIONAL CAT DELETE, CAT AND PRE-MUFFLER:


The second pipe in this system is where you may place a cat delete, cat, or a pre-muffler. This is offered 6 different ways because in each of those three options, you have the choice of connecting the wastage back in, or dumping it to atmosphere. This gives us the 6 possible options.

  • Cat Delete Pipe w/o wastegate connection (dumping wastegate to atmosphere)
  • Cat Delete Pipe w/wastegate tied back in connection
  • Pre-Muffler w/o wastegate connection (dumping wastegate to atmosphere)
  • pre-Muffler w/wastegate tied back in connection
  • 300 Cell High Flow Metal Cat w/o wastegate connection (dumping wastegate to atmosphere)
  • 300 Cell High Flow Metal Cat w/wastegate tied back in connection

100 Cell Higher Flow Metal Cat's are available upon special order.

MUFFLERS AND MRP'S:


The systems do not come standard with a muffler or MRP (Muffler Replacement Pipe) included in the system base price. It's an option you select and purchase separately. Some of you may already have a muffler you want to use so we don't force you to purchase one from us. The dimensions of the 5" mufflers we use are 20.5" overall length, 5" center in, and 5" center out.

  • Lindsey Racing 5" with 7" round body "Single" wrapped blow through
  • Lindsey Racing 5" with 7" round body "Double" wrapped blow through
  • Muffler Replacement Pipe (MRP) - 19" Hollow pipe replaces muffler. Loud!!

TIPS:


The standard 5" exhaust comes with an outlet pipe from the muffler which serves as the exhaust tip. We have configured this outlet pipe a few ways.

  • Standard 5" Slash Cut Outlet Pipe
  • (Optional) SS Polished 5" Slash Cut Outlet Pipe
  • (Optional) SS 5" Outlet Pipe with SS Slash Cut Rolled Lip Skin

THERMAL COATING:


If you wish to have the exhaust thermal barrier coated, that adds $200 to the price of a system. Highly recommended for a track car. It will help keep the heat from entering the driver compartment. The thermal coating also aids in keeping up the velocity of the exiting exhaust by helping maintain the heat in the pipe rather than letting it cool down as quickly and slow down. It will also add to the life expectancy of the exhaust. With or without the thermal coating, the exhaust will give you many years of use.

(Optional) 02 SENSOR BUNG & PLUG:


If you plan on using a Wide Band Oxygen Sensor, we can WELD the bung on the exhaust pipe for you before shipping your system. The additional charge is for the Threaded Bung & Plug Kit and the labor to install ( WELD ) the bung to the pipe punching the hole through the pipe. You can select this option when ordering your exhaust.

(Optional) WASTEGATE OUTLET DUMP TO ATMOSPHERE MUFFLER:


Any of our 944 Turbo exhausts have the option to dump the wastegate to atmosphere. When you select that choice for your system, you get a Wastegate Outlet Dump Pipe or turn down as standard equipment supplied with the exhaust kit. The sound coming out of that can be loud since it's pre-turbo. So we developed a Wastegate Outlet Muffler. You can select this optional Wastegate Muffler through the exhaust checkout process. We will supply this outlet muffler, and you will not get the standard turn down.

TO OUR INTERNATIONAL CUSTOMERS:


In the past, we have used a separate order form for placing International orders. We have quit using that process and are requiring all customer to use the shopping cart system built into the web site and it's check out process.

If you simply want a quotation and are not ready to place an order, then cut and paste the contents of your shopping basket, take a screen shot of the basket, or make a list of items and send us a email requesting a quotation with shipping.

If you need shipping prices before you make your final decision to purchase, then you should request that quotation by email and not use the shopping cart checkout process because you will be paying for the parts at that time.

Since our shopping cart and shipping estimator will "NOT" correctly calculate shipping charges on International Orders, we have it set-up to where the shipping will be Zero Dollars ($0.00) when checking out. When the shopping carts address process learns you are not in the United States by selecting your particular country, that's when it switches to equal Zero. That does NOT mean shipping is free.

Upon completion of the check out process, you will have paid for your parts but NOT the shipping on those parts.

Once we look over your parts ordered and calculate shipping weights and box sizes, we will send you an E-Mail with at least one shipping option and maybe several. We utilize UPS, DHL and the United States Postal Service (USPS) to deliver your parts.

Once you pick a shipping carrier and agree to the quotation by returning the E-Mail, we will be sending a PayPal money request for the amount of the shipping to be collected. If the parts are expected to be shipping out quickly, then you may receive that email quickly. If the parts are going to need to be built or something is on back order from the list of parts, we may hold off sending that E-Mail until we have the shipment ready to go. It can vary from order to order as to how we do that. If you think you should be hearing from us quickly, but you don't, feel free to contact us.
