This is not the original stock 944/968 filter but is actually the
filter from the '91-'94 911 Turbo. It's longer than the stock filter. This means more filter area which translates into less pressure restriction in the oil system,
greater ability to contain more contamination without restricting flow
as quickly, and a longer life span.

Q: What Mahle model is this? They indicate OC54 for 911T.I also see everywhere sells the OC142 for the 944 but Mahle recommends OC75. Why is that?
A: This filter is stock for the 911 C2 Turbo. We also recommend it for the 944 series engines because of the additional filter surface area. That means at the same oil change interval, it will have less restriction/blockage causing a decrease in oil flow as it gets dirty then the stock size.
